Madison Elementary School Reviews

“Madison Elementary focuses more on the challenged student. They do not have a system where the advanced student and the average student and the challenged student are separated so that they can learn at their pace. It's fine that no student is left behind but the advanced student is left alone without progressing so that the slower learning student can catch up. The staff at Madison is OK for the most part but they do have their share of ignorance. I have witnessed teachers belittle students and the students do not get a recess. They cannot even talk in the lunch room. Students are told to take naps or read books in the cafeteria after they're done eating. This is ridiculous! Some teachers seem like they don't even like their jobs and do not have patience with students. They should have chosen a different profession!” This review was posted by a parent.

“I have two children that currently attend Madison Elementary, and an older child in the eighth grade that attended Madison. I have zero complaints about the cirriculum and the teachers. Each of their teachers have been very attentive and available to my children's needs.” This review was posted by a parent.

“The acedemic level of this school is average, I guess. My daughter is in the first grade and the level is below her ability. There is very little extra cirricular activity and the children do not get recess every day. There is minimal parent involvement but those that are are involved in everything.” This review was posted by a parent.

“My son attended this school for a 6 month period for Kinder. I was unpleased with the way the schools handeled his situation. They offered no suggetions or recommenations that may explain why my child was having such a hard time in Kinder. Keep in mind that there were no indications that my son had a behavior problem, and yet the school was determined to label him as so. They put him on a half day scheduel, which was not a solution, it turns out that my son was recently diagnosed with a form of autisim. Had they set up the necessary testing and evalution on him they may have prevented a delay in his learning. I fell they were more concern about not having to deal with my son than getting him the proper help he needed.” This review was posted by a parent.
