Concordia Lutheran Church-School Reviews

Great School Teachers dedicate themselves to teaching and jesus

I have been involved with Concordia for many years and truly value the solid Christian based foundation it has provided for my boys. The teachers and staff are outstanding and the extracurricular programs are great. The education is challenging and based on good Christian principles.

We are very pleased with the progress our 1st grader made at Concordia. He has grown very much both academically and spiritually. The teachers demonstrate much love and concern for students growth and well being. We very much appreciate Concordia for its strong academics and loving spiritual atmosphere.

Concordia Lutheran is an awesome school. This is my second year there and I have best friends. My teachers are Mister Hamann and Miss Buffington and Miss Davis they are the sixth grade teachers they totally rock if you are looking for a middle school then you have found the right place you would love it there all the teachers are perfect they may be tough but it is only because they want you to be successfull! Bye!

Concordia Lutheran School is built on the highest of standards-God's Standards! The pricipal, faculty, support staff, students, and parents are the finest people my husband and I have ever met. The Concordia community is a very welcoming place. The Faculty and Staff have the students best interest in mind. Whether through the excellent academics taught or by the christian lessons/devotions learned on a daily basis, the students of Concordia shine like stars in our community and abroad. Our students/children are not only intelligent, friendly, loving, serving, athletic, and gifted in the arts. They are children with great morals and values who spread God's word and make our world a better place to live.

Concordia is filled with a loving and supportive teaching staff. My child has attened Concordia for the last 7 years and it is our plan for her to graduate from CLS. She is challenged in her studies, surrounded by Christian friends, and has awesome resources available to her. I love that there is daily Religion class and a Chapel service each week. I am a very happy and satisfied parent. I feel it is such a blessing for my child to attend CLS!

Concordia has been the perfect school for our children. From Pre-K to 8th grade, we've had amazing teachers who have nurtured and encouraged the kids to be well-organized, confident, morally-grounded, and independent thinkers. We've also been very happy with the excurricular activities. The children have thrived in all the different sports programs, and our school choir is outstanding. What I like best about Concordia is the fact that the school environment reflects our values. Our children feel safe and well cared for. Student discipline is evident through the courteous and respectful way students treat eachother and their teachers. This is truly a great school with wonderful, godly leaders.

Concordia is a fanatastic school! We have been there for 7 years. They teach at a high level, especially in the lower grades. My child has always scored in the 99th percentile on national achievement tests (Iowa). Discipline is excellent. I have several friends who returned back to Concordia after attending public school because the public school was so lack on discipline. My child feels very safe at Concordia and is not exposed as much to worldy values. His Bible knowledge has also grown with his faith. My only complaint would be my son's class size is at the maximum allowed by the state of Texas. However, it is the best deal in town for private Christian education.

Concordia is an outstanding school! I have had three children graduate from this institution and have been pleased with every aspect of their instruction. Teachers are great role models. I love the whole Concordia program.

I am extremely satisfied with this school. The teachers are outstanding and care for the children. My daughter loves going to school everyday.

after having my son there for a year I came to a conclusion that this is a sorry school lack of discipline and education, he learned more when he went to a northside public school the principal lacks good christian attitude and leadership

Teachers are great and continue to strive for all to have Masters degrees. Great Campus and Christ centered environment. Overall excellent teachers, staff, pastors, campus and kids. Highly recommend to anyone.

If you re looking for a school where faculty are allowed to make decisions regarding your child's education and discipline, this school is not for you. A change in church/school administration about five years ago resulted in a decline in the overall quality of the school, some faculty turnover, and a change in principals. I can say that despite this, the remaining faculty are still great. Application of discipline is a major problem at this school. It isn't applied evenly.

I am disappointed in the discipline of this school. It appears as if certain children are exempt from expulsion, detention, etc. The administration never puts the correct personnel needed to chaperone children. My child was at a school dance & they informed me of the vulgar way a student was dancing & when a teacher tried to break it up, she was hit in the face by a student. I thought children of a private school would have better respect. I intend to pull my child out of this school because this is not the first time this has happened.

Teachers are wonderful! Principal lacks leadership and discipline. The classes sizes for a private school are pushing the boundaries, would like to see better control over the numbers per class room setting.

I have both of my daughters at this school and we absolutely love it. The class ratio is wonderful and the teaching and education my children are receiving is tops. I work in a public elementary school and have the option of briniging my children with me to school and have elected not to because of all the lack of discipline and education I see in the public school.

Concordia has been nothing but a blessing to my children and our family. The academic quaility is absolutely wonderful and they know how to encourage the student's to be the best they can be. They are stern but loving and have an open door policy for the families. Their music instructor absolutely mesmorized my child and he loves to practice keyboard at the age of 6. The parents are the coach for soccer in the lower grades but it is really great. There are plenty of extracurricular activites and of course the church has even more to offer. The parent involvement is wonderful and everyone really makes an attempt to connect. What more could you ask for?

Having had children in public and private schools across the country, this is the finest school we've ever come across! I feel the teaching staff are outstanding in all areas. Christian values are expressed daily. I couldn't be more pleased with the outstanding education my son is receiving.

This is an excellent school! I did not realize just how superior it was until moving from the San Antonio area to Seattle. We have been unable to find a school that compares--an excellent academic program that is completely Christ-centered. The principal is completely just, fair, and passionate about the school as well as the students and their families. I would recommend this school to anyone.
