St. Margaret Mary Parish School Reviews

I had 3 children go to St. Margaret Mary's and I couldn't be happier. They are very successful and I believe they got a good solid foundation by attending this school. I live in the northside and could very well have sent them to a good free public school, but I chose to pay for a Catholic school education and was worth every penny of it.

My daughter attended smm 6th - 8th grade; and like all other school, they have their pros & cons. Pros - excellent music teacher, fun & memoriable fundraisers w/band booster, family oriented; cons - inconsistent discipline & education needs some improvement. We as parents must remember fundraisers and tutition is what keeps catholic school operating. Private school will always be better than public - hands down. In public school, it is a revolving door for students and they are a statistic. Many students graduate high school not knowing the basic of math or writing skills - it's all about the number system. Smm & all private school have two big matters to deal with each & every year. Improving education & fundraising to keep operating - bottom line. We as parents have to be there for them for our kids and our future grandkids.

Provides an excellent education and loving environment. We loved our experience at St Margret Marys. Thank you!

My step-daughter currently attends the school. if it wasn't for daycare being so expensive and the cost of living going up I would not have her there. They need to focus more on education and what goes on in the class room, not on fundraising!

I have taught for at least 15 years at St.Margaret Mary School. Yes, we do have our ups and downs but I love my jobs and do dedicate many ends hours to students and how I can improve their quality of education. My greatest joys come when a student will come to me and say 'Do you want to hear what I can read?' or 'Do you want to hear me read?' These little comments make it all worth the a million dollars.

My son loves the school and all of his teachers. I have some questions as far as organization when it comes to projects (ie. Halloween Carnival, school plays, etc). Even though it has it's little quirks, I have to admit, it is 100% better than a public school, and I love the fact that religion is a key in teaching.

Poor quality of teaching. they need to focus more on the education than on fundraising. Tuition goes up each year without improvment for the kids.

Both my children went there, I regret sending my children there it was not a good experience at all. The curriculm is poor , the teachers don't care what happens in their class, the principle and the pastor don't care either.

St. Margaret Mary School is a great school, a good home away from home environment, and one of the best schools I attended. Any child would be lucky to attend this school, as I , myself have been. I now am a high school student, but my fondest memories come from my few years at St. Margaret Mary's.
