Guardian Angel Performance Academy Reviews

The GAPA is an excellent school with an academically rigorous environment. The only people I've seen unsatisfied with the academics are children who are not willing to invest the proper times in their studies.

Terrible learning environment. My child was not being educated at all!

The school is not as terrific as they claim to be. In fact I am sorry and unhappy that I made this choice for my student. The school lacks so much I do not know where to begin. I am all for performing arts, but wish they focused more and taught more on the academic level. The students are not gaining much when it comes to their academics. With only having 3 teachers, one being the director, slash Rdg/Lang teacher, plus trying to run the entire program, front office and teach, makes it harder for these students to learn. With a smaller class size, the students should be far more advanced and one-on-one. This is not the case. The relationship between parent/teacher/admin, is not there. The relationship with the students and teachers is lacking professionalism and vision. I do not recommend this school.

the school and director lack organazation, plus professionalism. there is no parent/teacher communication. the academic portion for the students is minimal and not enforced. grades are being deducted academically, for extra curricular activities. students are belittled. with such a small class size, they should be more advanced and have much more in their favor and learning more. it is not happening. very saddened and upset that my child has wasted such a value part of this school year here and not gaining more in the academic area, and falling behind. i do not recommend this school. to me i believe the learning environment and what is learned are far more important that performing arts or any other extra curricular activity. there are no restrooms available to students there nor a cafeteria & lunch is not provided. students bring a lunch or money to purchase lunch at a nearby restaurant.

This school lacks organization, vision, and professionalism. Communication between parents and staff is limited. My child was very unhappy during her enrollment at The Guardian Angel Performance Academy. I do not recommend this school.

Thanks to the efforts of a caring staff and administrator, this school not only helped my boy develop his dancing skills enough to go to the high school of the arts; but they helped in overcome his learning disability so that he passed the TAKS test every year. Even though the disorganization sometime caused me to pull my hair out, they are among the best in the area that counts most - teaching my child. Thanks for three great years!
