Frankly, getting rid of that Blanca Aldacco as hostess in the old location was a blessing. However, the food and service still suffer. In a restaurant already known to be expensive, they CHARGED ME $0.50 for a small amount of PICKLED jalapenos. They didn't even have fresh jalapenos on hand--and to charge for a simple ingredient is ridiclous.
Pros: location is fabulous and so is the interior fireplace lounge
Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE IS HORRIBLE

good interior design. When you go in, you will see all these comfy sofas and good little tables and all these good designs, but the serves was so slow. Everything was just slow. We were waiting there for 30 min for get a seat, and 30min for a waiter to come to take the order, and 45min for the food to get on the table. The food wasn't bad, but not excellent. I would say, abve average almost, but no. Of you are enjoy this place, good for you, because me too. but for other aspect, I will not go there again. Dont give me wrong, I have been there for 3 times before I write this review. If you are will your friends and ready to enjoy the place and talk talk talk and spend time with it, there probabily will be the place to go. Bad thing for this place is the location. Difficult to make the turn, narrow entrence for turnning into this plaza, since the road was coved behind the little bump (you will know what I am talking about) so when you think you should make the turn, turn it!
Pros: good interior design, enjoy the place
Cons: average food, slow serves, location

Imagine trying to operate a good restaurant ........while serving some of the pompous "goofs" that live in Alamo Heights. Well they are pulling it off.
I just can't imagine selecting another Mexican Restaurant......unless it were Los Barrios Hacienda.
Set well off Broadway....nice outdoor spaces....attentive staff...........your hard earned money is well spent here.
Try to ignore the Alamo Heights Goofballs.....they live nearby.....and probably walked. The state legislature is considering establishing a bounty on them......maybe next year.
Pros: Great Ambience
Cons: Stiff Chairs........replaced.....Better Now
