Great place to have a special event

My sisters and I held our parents' surprise anniversary party in one of the bar's party rooms. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful and the set-up of the room was exactly what we asked for. If you are on a budget then this is one place to check-out. There is no cost for room rental, you are only paying for the catering. Linens, set-up, and clean-up are also included. The DJ was a minimal fee and was very good. I was explained up front that my deposit of $200 was non-refundable, but could be used on food or drink if the event was canceled.
I do recommend good bookkeeping on the client's part because there is no contract and I honestly don't think a record of the pre-payments I made to the bar were kept. I kept all my receipts and got all the details like cash bar prices and fees in writing. I didn't want any surprises the night of the party.
Parking can also be issue, but anywhere in downtown S.A. poses a parking issue.
Pros: Excellent buffet, ambience, event service
Cons: Parking, bookkeeping practices
Terrible Customer Service! Don't book an event b/c you will not get your money back

Ok, so we are from out of town and wanted to book a rehearsal dinner at this Cadillac Bar & Restaurant location. We put down $200 to reserve the place and went by to check it out in person when we were in San Antonio. A red flag should have gone up when the management staff failed to return phone calls in a timely manner.
After seeing this dirty, little unorganized place, we said no way on having our rehearsal dinner there. My fiance called to ask if we could just apply the $200 depost to a dinner, the management duo of mom & daughter said no. We didn't even ask for a refund, but rather just use our $200 towards some drinks and dinner.
Avoid the terrible customer service and stay on the riverwalk.
Pros:
Cons: dark, management customer service

Great place to meet after work for drinks. Fantastic place to go to on Friday nights. Various bands play with music for everyone. Great D.J.! Small dance floor though, other than that, it's lots of fun and great place to meet people and celebrate a birthday!!
Pros: Great place for dancing on a Friday nite
Cons: Small dance floor
Go there after work.

I don't know that it warrants 4.5 stars - but this is a great place for an afterwork drink downtown - away from the tourists and tourist prices. Bands, Beer, Friends and fun. If you're a real San Antonioan / Texan - the sound of your boots (or shoes) on the wood floor when you walk in let you know you're in the right place.
Very recommended.
Pros: Very good afterwork spot
Cons: Music is loud - but there is a patio
Tourist Trap!

Miss this place altogether! This spot has the unique distinction of being a place I have never had good food at and a place where no one I know has ever had a good word to say about it. The fact this place is still open is a complete mystery.
